North Carolina High School Basketball - Bandys can't hold off Newton-Conover

The Bandys Trojans basketball team (Catawba, NC), was nudged 53-47 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC)

The Red Devils now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bunker Hill for a 2A Conference 45 battle on Friday, January 13. Newton-Conover will battle a Bears team coming off a 66-53 league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Bears record now stands at 2-12.

The Trojans (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors come into the 2A Conference 45 battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, West Caldwell edged West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC), 84-40, in a league battle.
