Science Park Chargers (Newark, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Barringer Blue Bears (Newark, NJ), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Science Park upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Chargers host Shabazz (Newark, NJ) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Shabazz lost 67-40 in their recent non-league bout against West Orange (West Orange, NJ)

Next up, the Blue Bears play the Newark Collegiate Academy Panthers (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Barringer will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 44-39 non-league win over Livingston (Livingston, NJ).
