The Belle Vernon Leopards basketball team (Belle Vernon, PA), was nudged 69-64 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA)

The Mustangs now possess a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southmoreland for a WPIAL 4A 3 battle on Friday, January 13. Laurel Highlands will confront a Scotties team coming off a 85-40 league loss to Uniontown (Uniontown, PA). The Scotties record now stands at 8-4.

The Leopards (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Albert Gallatin (Uniontown, PA). The Colonials come into the WPIAL 4A 3 battle with a 3-8 record. In their last battle, Albert Gallatin was nudged by Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA), 82-73, in a league battle.
