The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Berrien Rebels to 35 in the Purple Hurricane league triumph on Tuesday.
The Purple Hurricane now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dodge County for a AA Region 1 contest on Friday, January 13. Fitzgerald will battle a Indians team coming off a 78-60 league win over Cook (Adel, GA). The Indians record now stands at 8-2.
The Rebels (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Sumter County (Americus, GA). The Panthers enter the AA Region 1 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Sumter County triumphed over Lee County (Leesburg, GA), 48-29, in a non-league contest.
