With the win, Blacksher upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Chickasaw (Chickasaw, AL) to clash with the Chieftains in a 2A Area 1 bout on Friday, January 20. The Chieftains go into the bout with a record of 5-11.

Next up, the Chieftains clash with the Clarke County Bulldogs (Grove Hill, AL) in a 2A Area 1 bout, on Friday, January 13. Chickasaw will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 55-37 non-league win over Millry (Millry, AL).
