North Carolina High School Basketball - Queen's Grant nips Bradford Prep

January 10, 2023: Matthews, NC 28105

Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bradford Prep Bears (Charlotte, NC), 61-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Queen's Grant upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Stallions host Apprentice Academy (Monroe, NC) to play the Red Wolves in a 1A Conference 38 bout on Friday, January 13. The Red Wolves come into the bout with a record of 0-8. Apprentice Academy lost 99-37 in their recent non-league bout against Comenius (Fort Mill, SC)

Next up, the Bears play the Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 39 bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Bradford Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 48-47 league loss to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC).
