Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 70-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Brevard upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to play the Bearcats in a 2A Conference 41 bout on Friday, January 13. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Hendersonville won 79-54 in their recent league bout against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) in a 2A Conference 41 bout, on Friday, January 13. Patton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 78-37 non-league loss to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
