Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lee Generals (Huntsville, AL), 57-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Buckhorn upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Bucks travel to Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL) to play the Jaguars in a 6A Area 16 bout on Friday, January 13. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Mae Jemison lost 53-40 in their recent league bout against Hazel Green (Hazel Green, AL)

Next up, the Generals play the Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL) in a 6A Area 16 bout, on Friday, January 13. Lee will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 38-27 non-league loss to Grissom (Huntsville, AL).
