Butler Golden Tornado (Butler, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Allegheny Tigers (Wexford, PA), 63-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Butler upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Golden Tornado travel to Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA) to clash with the Vikings in a WPIAL 6A 1 bout on Friday, January 13. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Central Catholic won 56-45 in their recent league bout against New Castle (New Castle, PA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Seneca Valley Raiders (Harmony, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 1 bout, on Friday, January 13. North Allegheny will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 59-58 league loss to Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA).
