Central Spartans (El Centro, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Central upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Calexico (Calexico, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a Imperial Valley bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 9-6.
