The Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) basketball crushed the visiting Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA), 74-43 in Tuesday's league test.
The Spartans (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Muscatine (Muscatine, IA). The Muskies go into the Mississippi test with a 2-7 record. In their last test, Muscatine was trounced by Davenport Central (Davenport, IA), 59-50, in a league test.
The River Kings now own a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to Central Clinton for a Mississippi test on Friday, January 13. Clinton will encounter a Sabers squad coming off a 51-38 league loss to Assumption (Davenport, IA). The Sabers record now stands at 3-6.
