The Comer Tigers basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Thorsby Rebels to 55 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Isabella for a 2A Area 7 contest on Friday, January 13. Comer will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 59-57 non-league loss to Jemison (Jemison, AL). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-6.
The Rebels (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Fayetteville (Sylacauga, AL). The Wolves enter the 2A Area 7 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Fayetteville was routed by Vincent (Vincent, AL), 72-58, in a non-league contest.
