Stanton Buffaloes (Stanton, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Compass Academy (Odessa, TX), 44-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Stanton upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Crane (Crane, TX) to clash with the Cranes in a 3A Region I District 4 bout on Friday, January 13. The Cranes go into the bout with a record of 9-13. Crane won 57-33 in their recent league bout against Compass Academy (Odessa, TX)

Next up, the clash with the Tornillo Coyotes (Tornillo, TX) in a 3A Region I District 4 bout, on Friday, January 13. Compass Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Coyotes go into the bout with a 19-1 record after their 91-43 league win over Alpine (Alpine, TX).
