Georgia High School Basketball - Crisp County thwarted by Monroe

January 10, 2023: Cordele, GA 31015

The Crisp County Cougars basketball team (Cordele, GA), dropped 57-45 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA)

The Golden Tornadoes now possess a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dougherty for a AAA Region 1 battle on Friday, January 13. Monroe will confront a Trojans team coming off a 68-26 league win over Columbus (Columbus, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-8.

The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Carver (Columbus, GA). The Tigers come into the AAA Region 1 battle with a 3-9 record. In their last battle, Carver dropped by Southwest Atlanta Christian (Atlanta, GA), 62-58, in a non-league battle.
