Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Neuqua Valley Wildcats (Naperville, IL) and the host DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), saw Neuqua Valley's basketball squad hold off DeKalb by a count of 52-45.

With the victory, Neuqua Valley upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL) to play the Thunder in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Thunder come into the challenge with a record of 9-8.

Next up, the Barbs play the Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) in a DuPage Valley battle, on Friday, January 20. DeKalb will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record.
