The Denbigh Patriots basketball team (Newport News, VA), was overwhelmed 70-27 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA)
The Wolverines now possess a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kecoughtan for a Peninsula battle on Friday, January 13. Woodside will battle a Warriors team coming off a 50-38 league win over Hampton (Hampton, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-2.
The Patriots (1-10) will now prepare for their battle against Heritage (Newport News, VA). The Hurricanes come into the Peninsula battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Heritage trounced Bethel (Hampton, VA), 57-47, in a league battle.
