Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA), 77-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Murray County upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Indians travel to North Murray (Chatsworth, GA) to play the Mountaineers in a AA Region 7 bout on Friday, January 13. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 12-1. North Murray won 58-55 in their recent league bout against Rockmart (Rockmart, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA) in a AA Region 7 bout, on Friday, January 13. Fannin County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 67-38 non-league loss to Temple (Temple, GA).
