Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA), 47-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fort Defiance upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Broadway (Broadway, VA) to play the Gobblers in a Valley bout on Thursday, January 12. The Gobblers come into the bout with a record of 6-6. Broadway won 57-27 in their recent league bout against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA)

Next up, the Green Hornets play the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah bout, on Friday, January 13. Wilson Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record.
