Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX), 51-48 in a league bout.
With the win, Grand Prairie upgrades its record to 6-17 on the season. The Gophers host Martin (Arlington, TX) to play the Warriors in a 6A Region I District 8 bout on Friday, January 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 20-3. Martin won 77-73 in their recent league bout against Sam Houston (Arlington, TX)
Next up, the Vikings play the Arlington Colts (Arlington, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 bout, on Friday, January 13. Lamar will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 57-52 league loss to South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX).
