Ohio High School Basketball - Harding can't hold off Mathews

January 10, 2023: Fairport Harbor, OH 44077

The Mathews Mustangs basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Harding Skippers to 65 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Badger for a Northeastern contest on Friday, January 13. Mathews will battle a Braves team coming off a 54-53 league loss to Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH). The Braves record now stands at 10-1.

The Skippers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal (Middlefield, OH). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Cardinal nudged Grand Valley (Orwell, OH), 55-48, in a league contest.
