The Joppatowne Mariners basketball team (Joppa, MD), was nudged 50-45 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Havre de Grace Warriors (Havre de Grace, MD)
The Warriors now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgewood for a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Chesapeake battle on Thursday, January 12. Havre de Grace will battle a Rams team coming off a 73-70 league loss to Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MD). The Rams record now stands at 6-5.
The Mariners (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Green Street Academy (Baltimore, MD). The Chargers come into the non-league battle with a 3-9 record. In their last battle, Green Street Academy was nudged by KIPP College Prep (Washington, DC), 67-64, in a non-league battle.
