In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Herington Railroaders (Herington, KS) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Wakefield Bombers (Wakefield, KS), by a margin of 55-20.

The Railroaders (3-4) will now prepare for their outing against Solomon (Solomon, KS). The Gorillas go into the Wheat State bout with a 5-3 record. In their last bout, Solomon overwhelmed Canton-Galva (Canton, KS), 48-39, in a league bout.

Next up, the Bombers play the Peabody-Burns Warriors (Peabody, KS) in a Wheat State bout, on Friday, January 13. Wakefield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 60-22 non-league loss to Elyria Christian (McPherson, KS).
