Holt Ironmen (Holt, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Montevallo Bulldogs (Montevallo, AL), 48-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Holt upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Ironmen travel to Gardendale (Gardendale, AL) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 11-3.

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the West Blocton Tigers (West Blocton, AL) in a 4A Area 6 bout, on Thursday, January 12. Montevallo will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 66-59 league loss to Bibb County (Centreville, AL).
