Wyoming East Warriors (New Richmond, WV) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV), 80-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Wyoming East upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV) to play the Flying Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Flying Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-4. Woodrow Wilson won 85-47 in their recent league bout against Capital (Charleston, WV)

Next up, the Patriots play the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) in a Coalfield AA bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
