The North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC) basketball nipped the host James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC), 60-58 in Tuesday's league test.
The Hawks (6-8) will now prepare for their test against South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC). The Blue Devils go into the 2A Conference 6 test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, South Lenoir was tipped by East Duplin (Beulaville, NC), 52-44, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Southwest Onslow for a 2A Conference 6 test on Friday, January 13. James Kenan will encounter a Stallions squad coming off a 93-79 non-league loss to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 7-8.
