Tuloso-Midway Warriors/Cherokees (Corpus Christi, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host King Brahmas (Kingsville, TX), 78-76 in a league bout.

With the victory, Tuloso-Midway upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign. The Warriors/Cherokees host Bishop (Bishop, TX) to play the Badgers in a 4A Region IV District 31 battle on Friday, January 13. The Badgers come into the battle with a record of 18-7. Bishop won 76-50 in their recent league battle against Alice (Alice, TX)

The Brahmas (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX). The Wildcats come into the 4A Region IV District 31 battle with a 6-13 record. In their last battle, Calallen was nudged by Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX), 59-30, in a league battle.
