Virginia High School Basketball - Riverheads thwarts Liberty

The Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) basketball knocked off the host Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), 58-50 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Gladiators (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Mountain View (Quicksburg, VA). The Generals go into the non-league test with a 0-11 record. In their last test, Mountain View went down by Madison County (Madison, VA), 59-27, in a league test.
The Minutemen now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson Forest for a Seminole test on Thursday, January 12. Liberty will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 58-53 league win over Rustburg (Rustburg, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-3.
