Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX), 54-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Martin upgrades its record to 12-12 on the season. The Tigers travel to Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX) to play the Patriots in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout on Friday, January 13. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Mission Veterans Memorial lost 61-37 in their recent league bout against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX)

Next up, the Gladiators play the Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 bout, on Friday, January 13. Roma will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Rattlers go into the bout with a 14-12 record after their 61-37 league win over Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX).
