The Sheldon Panthers (Sheldon, MO) basketball nipped the visiting McAuley Catholic Warriors (Joplin, MO), 43-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Panthers (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson Independent Day (Joplin, MO). The Cavaliers go into the non-league test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Jefferson Independent Day got by Wheaton (Wheaton, MO), 59-28, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Verona for a Ozark 7 test on Friday, January 13. McAuley Catholic will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 88-75 non-league loss to Southwest (Washburn, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-3.
