North Carolina High School Basketball - Mitchell overwhelms Rosman

January 10, 2023: Rosman, NC 28772

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) and the host Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC), saw Mitchell's basketball squad wallop Rosman by a tally of 84-52.

With the victory, Mitchell improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Avery County (Newland, NC) to encounter the Vikings in a 1A/2A Conference 42 test on Thursday, January 12. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 9-6. Avery County lost 67-61 in their recent league test against Owen (Black Mountain, NC)

The Tigers now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to East Henderson for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 11. Rosman will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 81-75 league win over Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 6-10.
