Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting St. Paul Catholic Falcons (Bristol, CT), 52-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Naugatuck upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Greyhounds host Amistad (New Haven, CT) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Amistad won 68-51 in their recent non-league bout against Coventry (Coventry, CT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Iron bout, on Friday, January 13. St. Paul Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 62-32 non-league win over Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT).
