New Mexico High School Basketball - Navajo Prep trounces Tohatchi

The Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) basketball crushed the host Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM), 67-45 in Tuesday's league test.
The Eagles (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Hawks go into the 3A District 1 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Thoreau was trounced by Newcomb (Newcomb, NM), 72-63, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Crownpoint for a 3A District 1 test on Thursday, January 12. Tohatchi will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 53-43 league win over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 10-4.
