Texas High School Basketball - Nederland can't hold off Port Arthur Memorial

The Port Arthur Memorial Titans basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting Nederland Bulldogs to 38 in the Titans league victory on Tuesday.
The Titans now sport a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crosby for a 5A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, January 13. Port Arthur Memorial will battle a Cougars team coming off a 56-55 league win over Lee (Baytown, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 11-9.
The Bulldogs (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX). The Eagles come into the 5A Region III District 17 contest with a 19-5 record. In their last contest, Barbers Hill edged Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX), 52-44, in a league contest.
