New Berlin Pretzels (New Berlin, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), 46-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Berlin upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Pretzels travel to Auburn (Auburn, IL) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Auburn won 51-48 in their recent non-league bout against Calvary (Springfield, IL)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Riverton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 36-34 non-league win over Pawnee (Pawnee, IL).
