The Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) basketball nipped the host Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA), 58-56 in Tuesday's league test.
The Indians (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Essex (Tappahannock, VA). The Trojans go into the Northern Neck test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Essex got by Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA), 67-34, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Westmoreland for a Northern Neck test on Friday, January 13. Rappahannock will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 66-38 league loss to Lancaster (Lancaster, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-5.
