The Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix basketball team (North Charleston, SC), was nudged 44-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC)
The Islanders now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charleston Math & Science for a A Region 8 battle on Friday, January 13. St. John's will battle a Riptide team coming off a 62-27 league win over Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC). The Riptide record now stands at 7-8.
The Phoenix (0-12) will now prepare for their battle against Cross (Cross, SC). The Trojans come into the A Region 8 battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Cross was nudged by Baptist Hill (Hollywood, SC), 82-52, in a league battle.
