Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wapello Indians (Wapello, IA), 67-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Pekin upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Panthers host Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA) to clash with the Wolves in a SEI - North bout on Friday, January 13. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Winfield-Mt. Union won 62-50 in their recent league bout against Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA)

Next up, the Indians clash with the WACO Warriors (Wayland, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Wapello will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 11-0 record after their 68-64 league win over New London (New London, IA).
