Valley Lutheran Flames (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners (Phoenix, AZ), 60-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley Lutheran upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Flames travel to Cicero Prep Academy (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Centurions in a 1A East bout on Friday, January 13. The Centurions come into the bout with a record of 8-7. Cicero Prep Academy won 58-40 in their recent league bout against Sequoia Charter (Mesa, AZ)

Next up, the Roadrunners play the Hayden Lobos (Winkelman, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Lobos come into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 86-79 league win over Dishchii’bikoh (Cibecue, AZ).
