Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Round Rock Dragons (Round Rock, TX), 54-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Vandegrift upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Vipers travel to Cedar Ridge (Round Rock, TX) to clash with the Raiders in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, January 13. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 10-12. Cedar Ridge lost 54-46 in their recent league bout against Manor (Manor, TX)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the McNeil Mavericks (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, January 13. Round Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 7-16 record after their 42-30 league loss to Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX).
