The Wellsville Eagles basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Santa Fe Trail Chargers to 64 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iola for a Pioneer contest on Friday, January 13. Wellsville will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 63-52 non-league win over Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-4.
The Chargers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Anderson County (Garnett, KS). The Bulldogs enter the Pioneer contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Anderson County ran past Prairie View (La Cygne, KS), 59-17, in a non-league contest.
