Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Seagraves Eagles (Seagraves, TX), 51-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Sundown upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Roughnecks travel to Tahoka (Tahoka, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Tahoka lost 56-38 in their recent league bout against New Home (New Home, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Whitharral Panthers (Whitharral, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Seagraves will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 53-50 league loss to Whiteface (Whiteface, TX).
