Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) and the host Stephenson Jaguars (Stone Mountain, GA), saw Southwest DeKalb's basketball squad hold off Stephenson by a count of 53-46.

With the victory, Southwest DeKalb upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Columbia (Decatur, GA) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-1.

Next up, the Jaguars play the Miller Grove Wolverines (Lithonia, GA) in a AAAA Region 6 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Stephenson will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 50-43 league win over Westminster (Atlanta, GA).
