Summit Academy Knights (Herman, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting St. Joseph Spartans (Natrona Heights, PA), 66-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Summit Academy upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Knights host Imani Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the Saints in a WPIAL 1A 1 bout on Friday, January 13. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Imani Christian Academy won 110-77 in their recent league bout against Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Neighborhood Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 3 bout, on Friday, January 13. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 81-77 league loss to Aquinas Academy (Gibsonia, PA).
