The St. Thomas More Cougars basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Westgate Tigers to 23 in the Cougars league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 19-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lafayette for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 11. St. Thomas More will meet a Lions team coming off a 71-38 non-league loss to Northside (Lafayette, LA). The Lions record now stands at 6-4.

With the defeat, Westgate moves to 1-8 on the year. The Tigers host North Vermilion (Maurice, LA) to meet the Patriots in a 4A District 4 match on Friday, February 10. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 1-5.
