Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sto-Rox Vikings (McKees Rocks, PA), 86-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Steel Valley upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Ironmen travel to South Park (South Park, PA) to play the Eagles in a WPIAL 3A 2 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Vikings play the South Park Eagles (South Park, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 bout, on Friday, January 13. Sto-Rox will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 53-26 non-league loss to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA).
