With the win, Troup upgrades its record to 14-9 on the season. The Tigers host West Rusk (New London, TX) to play the Raiders in a 3A Region II District 16 bout on Friday, January 13. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 9-7. West Rusk lost 67-55 in their recent league bout against Tatum (Tatum, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats face the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 game, on Friday, January 13. Waskom will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a 5-11 record after their 46-36 league loss to Troup (Troup, TX).
