Albany Cougars (Albany, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Hercules Titans (Hercules, CA), 49-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Albany upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host El Cerrito (El Cerrito, CA) to play the Gauchos in a bout on Thursday, January 12. The Gauchos come into the bout with a record of 8-3.

Next up, the Titans play the Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Hercules will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record.
