Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Raleigh, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 63-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cardinal Gibbons upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Crusaders host Wakefield (Raleigh, NC) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 10-5.

Next up, the Comets play the Millbrook Wildcats (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Clayton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 52-40 non-league win over Knightdale (Knightdale, NC).
