The Wamego Red Raiders basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Abilene Cowboys to 17 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Red Raiders now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marysville for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Wamego will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 40-33 non-league win over Concordia (Concordia, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-5.
The Cowboys (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Clay Center (Clay Center, KS). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Clay Center was routed by Southeast of Saline (Gypsum, KS), 45-28, in a non-league contest.
