Anaconda Copperheads (Anaconda, MT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Florence-Carlton Falcons (Florence, MT), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Anaconda upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Copperheads travel to Butte Central Catholic (Butte, MT) to play the Maroons in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Maroons come into the bout with a record of 1-4. Butte Central Catholic lost 61-19 in their recent league bout against Frenchtown (Frenchtown, MT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Powell County Wardens (Deer Lodge, MT) in a B District 6 bout, on Thursday, January 19. Florence-Carlton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
